CO-CURRICULAR LIFE
At Augustine, learning doesn’t end when students close their books. Our co-curricular programs and traditions bring the curriculum to life, offering rich opportunities that spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and build a vibrant sense of community. These are the experiences students remember—the traditions, clubs, and hands-on opportunities that make ACA truly distinctive.
Traditions That Bring Learning to Life
Each year, our Grammar School students step directly into the worlds they study. These beloved, curriculum-connected traditions are hallmarks of the Augustine experience:
-
6th Grade Operetta – Students write and perform their own original operetta.
-
3rd Grade Medieval Faire – A lively immersion into medieval history and culture.
-
Roman Banquet – A festive and memorable culmination of historical study.
-
Greek Olympics – Friendly competition and celebration for the entire Grammar School, organized by our 2nd grade class.
These events aren’t just fun—they deepen understanding, build confidence, and create shared memories that anchor students' love for learning.
Opportunities to Explore and Excel
Beyond these traditions, students can pursue interests and stretch their abilities through a variety of clubs, teams, and academic experiences:
-
MathCounts – Quick problem-solving and mathematical thinking.
-
Mock Trial – Developing logic, persuasion, and teamwork through case simulations.
-
Robotics – Building, programming, and competing in fast-paced engineering challenges.
-
Field Trips & Experiential Learning – Hands-on encounters with literature, science, and history that enrich classroom study.
These opportunities allow students to discover new passions, develop leadership, and grow in confidence as they engage with the world around them.
